In May 2021 we purchased a remote controlled internet video camera which is installed overlooking the Golden Jubilee Back Oval. During our normal flying hours the camera automatically cycles between several different pan, tilt and zoom (PTZ) views of the area, but it can also be controlled manually by Sunset Soaring Club administrators.
During bushfire operations the camera can also be controlled by the Ku-ring-gai Bush Fire Brigade. In return we are able to display the brigade’s professional weather station, which shows current weather conditions at Golden Jubilee back oval. You can see a more detailed report on our weather page.
